Pass the Chicken

Description: Pass the Chicken teaches strategic planning, communication, creative problem solving, and leadership in one hysterical, outrageously fun, easy to learn game! Each of the 4 rounds of play reinforces and expands the learning that occurs in the previous round. Process breakdown is, by design, inevitable but as teams use their creativity, any problem can be overcome, even the presence of loud squawking chickens and other zany animals. A hysterical game that drives home Big team – small team integration in is simplest form.

Participates break into small groups and must pass a variety of Squawking Chickens and Cows and over a dozen Talking animals such that everyone in the room must touch all the items at least one time as quickly as possible. This seemingly simple but quirky game can teach more about process improvement in just a few minutes that many of the best college courses do in an entire semester.

Objective: Only when all small teams synchronize and work in unity, can performance improvement be achieved. This high-energy game will motivate your staff to do more with less, reduce time needed to accomplish tasks, improve performance and numbers by thinking smart (rather than just working hard). To mange change and chaos in an effective manner. To use strategic planning with incredible execution (Disclaimer: No animals are actually executed or harmed in this game). To coordinate between Big teams and Small Teams. To teach poise under pressure on a team level.

Learning outcomes:  Team synchronization, Systems Thinkning, Big team – Small team Integration, the power of strategic planning, efficient two-way communication, creative problem-solving, creativity and innovation, leadership, and the power of team synchronization, "Pass the Chicken" creates a constant toggling between task and process that allows participants to gain greater control over the game and find direct applications back at the work place. Utilizes the diversity of talent to manage change. With great simplicity, this awesome game drives home many learning points in an easy-to-assimilate format. To constantly improve the pace at which all the animals are passed around.

Testimonial: "I have used 'Pass the Chicken' many times with numerous groups and I have found it to be not only a lot of fun, but a very efficient tool for unifying groups around common efforts. It shows the power of strategic planning both for short term and long term objectives. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants to have fun and learn at the same time. It is a great bargain for the price and I have used it in many training programs."
