MBTI Myers Briggs Temperament Inventory
Service Categories:
The Myers Briggs is widely used and assesses 4 pairs of character traits on a continuum:
The first set of mental preferences relates to how people "Perceive" or take in information.
- People who prefer Sensing Perception favor clear, tangible data and information that fits in well with their direct here-and-now experience. They like to take in information in a precise and exact manner.
- In contrast, people who prefer Intuition Perception are drawn to information that is more abstract, conceptual, big-picture, and represents imaginative possibilities for the future
The second set of mental preferences identifies how people form "Judgments" or make decisions.
- People who prefer Thinking have a natural preference for making decisions in an objective, logical, and analytical manner with an emphasis on tasks and results to be accomplished. They like to take information in a precise and exact manner.
- People whose preference is for Feeling make their decisions in a more global, visceral, harmonious and value-oriented way, paying particular attention to the impact of decisions and actions on other people.
The third set of mental preferences identifies how people get their “Energy”
- Simply put, an “Extroverte” gets energy from being around people. They direct and receive energy from the outer world.
- An “Introverte” gets energy from being alone. They direct and receive energy from the inner world.
The fourth set of mental preferences identifies “Life Management Orientation”
- People with a preference for Judging like to come to closure and to act on decisions quickly.
- On the other hand, people who prefer Perceiving like to remain open and adapt to new information.
